How your allowance works
Gemini Apps use compute-based limits that refresh every five hours until the weekly limit is reached. Model and feature limits vary.
- Open your official usage screen and find the limit you reached.
- Copy the next reset date and time exactly as shown. Session and weekly limits can have different reset times.
- Add it to My timers. The timer stays on this browser and does not connect to your account.
Gemini Apps and the API are different
The Gemini API has a requests-per-day quota that resets at midnight Pacific time. That API rule does not set the reset time for the Gemini consumer app.
